Are you tired of your daily routine and need a change in your life? Do you want to change your career and dream of becoming a professional freediving instructor, but have no experience? This is the programme for you! We will take you from being a beginner to becoming a competent freediver and, ultimately, a certified instructor.

Freedive Dahab has been training instructors since 2006, and our trainers are unquestionably among the most experienced in the field. Dahab is a great place to train in freediving at all levels. Thanks to easy shore access to depth, you can train at any time of the day without having to follow a rigid boat schedule for your training sessions.

The cost of living in Dahab is very low. You can rent a fully furnished apartment for around €300–€500 per month, and if you shop at local supermarkets and eat at local restaurants, you can live on €8–€10 per day.

We offer great flexibility in the duration of the programme, allowing you to adapt your training to your progress and needs. You should plan to have 3–6 months available to complete the programme. After completing the instructor course, you can also choose to stay and continue training with us and our staff for free!

The training schedule over the 3–6 month period is as follows:

MONTH 1:

The Beginner Course L1 and Advanced Freediver L2 will be completed within the first 1–2 weeks. Once the Advanced Freediver L2 is completed, the student will start the Master programme, which lasts about one month.

MONTH 2:

During the second month, the student will complete Performance Freediving (if ready) and finish the Master programme. The sole focus during this period is on developing as a freediver and becoming comfortable with depth as well as pool disciplines. The Master Instructor will dive with the student and work specifically on their weak points to prepare them for the specific requirements of the Instructor Course.

During this time, we will also complete the Training Table specialty, which is a particularly useful tool for instructors who are mainly based in cities and teach mostly in swimming pools.

MONTH 3:

During the third month, the trainee will start assisting with Beginner Course L1 and Advanced Freediver L2 courses under the instructor’s supervision. They will gradually learn to identify mistakes and give feedback to real students.

The trainee will also continue with their own training alongside other Master students and trainees, with the main goal of practising and passing all the requirements of the Instructor Course.

MONTHS 3–6:

When both the trainee and the Instructor Trainer feel that the time is right, the trainee will start the next scheduled Instructor Course. Once the course is completed, the trainee will also have the opportunity to teach real courses, helping them leave as a confident and independent freediving instructor.

NOTE! One of the requirements for the Instructor Course is a valid First Aid + Oxygen Provider certification. This is not included in the course price but can be completed at our centre upon request, at a cost of €130, including the manual and certification.

If you are a scuba diver, you most likely already have a First Aid certification. In this case, please check whether your certification also includes the Oxygen Provider part, as this is required by SSI to process your Instructor Training Course (ITC) paperwork and certify you as an instructor.

If you already hold a regular First Aid certification, you can complete only the Oxygen Provider part for €70, including the manual and certification for the full React Right course.
